Department of Mathematics Quality Policy

As the Department of Mathematics within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Muş Alparslan University, we aim to deliver research and development, education and training, and social contribution activities with an approach centered on effectiveness, efficiency, digitalization, and quality, guided by universal ethical values, social responsibility awareness, and the fundamental principles of mathematics. We embrace equipping our students with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills as a core principle.

Our Department of Mathematics aims to support the Research and Development (R&D) activities of our faculty members towards producing current mathematical knowledge and technology, and to train our students in this direction as individuals possessing digital competencies, thereby contributing them to society. All processes in our department, including education and training, are managed in line with the "Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA)" cycle, embracing an understanding of continuous improvement. Activities that ensure the produced knowledge benefits society and relevant sectors are planned and implemented according to quality standards, taking into account the demands and expectations of internal and external stakeholders (students, alumni, sector representatives, society).

In this context, as the Department of Mathematics, we commit to:

-Continuously striving to ensure our Department is an original, respected, and preferred mathematics department, prominent for its scientific studies and educational quality at national and international levels, in line with the mission and vision of Muş Alparslan University and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

-Contributing to science and technology through qualified academic studies at national and international levels that advance the discipline of mathematics.

-Elevating student-centered education and training activities to national and international standards by equipping students with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

-Ensuring the continuous improvement of the necessary academic and technological infrastructure for faculty members and students to follow national and international scientific and technological developments and enhance their digital competencies.

-Ensuring the achievement of determined goals by prioritizing the satisfaction of students, staff, faculty members, alumni, and other internal/external stakeholders.

-Ensuring the sustainability of social contribution activities where produced mathematical knowledge is presented for the benefit of society and relevant sectors, based on university-society-industry cooperation.

-Continuously improving the processes of governance, education and training, research and development, digitalization, and social contribution towards higher levels in line with national and international quality standards, through a quality assurance system aimed at continuous improvement.
