Mission: The Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences aims to provide students with a comprehensive mathematical education, to develop analytical thinking skills and to provide mathematical knowledge and application skills at a level of excellence. It aims to provide students with strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking capacity and effective communication skills by supporting disciplinary and interdisciplinary studies. It also aims to instill the awareness of using mathematical knowledge for the benefit of society by adopting a solution-oriented approach to social problems.

The department aims to train its students as individuals who are specialized in mathematics, committed to ethical values and able to compete globally. It expands the boundaries of the discipline of mathematics by pioneering innovative research and leads the way in raising leaders who contribute to society by providing its students with the ability to adapt to technological, social and economic developments.
